Refresh Bali Yoga Adventure

Come to Bali to unpack your magic, then bring it home as a souvenir! In utter paradise and surrounded by friends, Yoga will come naturally, both on and off the mat. From January 26th February 2nd 2019, we’ll luxuriate in 8 sunny days of rejuvenation, connection and adventure in the most sparkling and luscious spaces! Our excursions, leisure-time and meals will be opportunities to explore, laugh, restore, refresh, ignite, wander and wonder while integrating and emanating so much goodness inside and out. During the darkest months of the year in northern hemisphere, this is self-care! Come fill-up on Vitamin D and re-charge your inner light by loving your body, awakening your senses, listening to your heart, vibing with nature and making new and lasting friendships. Betsy Shilling

In all her work, Betsy advocates for conscious, kind and equitable living. When not in front of a class or focussed on growing her budding business, she recharges by crawling deep into the forrest, holding someone she loves, dancing like a wild-womxn and listening to learn. Aligning with the times and influenced by current events, astrology and nature, she extends a loving call to right-action in every practice she leads. As a peaceful-warrior, entrepeneur and teacher in the wellness industry, she is passionately doing all she can to rewrite the status quo around worthiness and wellbeing while working to make self-empowered health and happiness more accessible to all. Betsy has taught martial arts, women's health, psychobiology, meditation and yoga for years, and her expertise is in myofascial release (a form of deep tissue massage you give yourself). Maria McDonald

In addition to being a dear friend and trusted colleague of Betsy’s, Maria has been an incredible yoga teacher, professional facilitator, social justice activist and learning & development coordinator for years. In Bali, Betsy and Maria will model a balanced, empowering and joyful approach to self and other care through their partnership. Maria brings an extra dose of warmth, grace, creativity and community to every event this duo co-creates. She will do much of the work behind the scenes (and behind the smiles) to make sure that everyone’s needs and desires are honored and that no detail goes unattended. Bali

It’s not just a yoga retreat paradise; it’s paradise, period. In Bali, we’ll wrap you in all things cultural, beautiful, rejuvenating and fun. From the sparkling waters to the breathtaking rice fields, Bali is an island of natural, cultural, and spiritual wonders. Our adventure will encompass two very different areas of Bali. In Ubud we will be immersed in gorgeous green hillsides and in north Kuta we will feel the ocean’s breeze. Come journey from verdant hillsides to blue ocean, experiencing Bali in movement and in stillness, by bike and by surf, through yoga and on foot. We’ll take-in the culture as we cook and dine with locals, we’ll meditate in out-of-the-way temples and practice yoga in the most enchanting open-air sanctuaries. Welcome to beauty. Welcome to enrichment. Welcome to Bali.

Accommodations

We will experience two very different areas of Bali and we’ll be staying in luxury in both. Our Ubud accommodations are setback in multiple acres of lush green hillsides and each villa has stunning views from its private veranda. Our beach location in north Kuta keeps the chilled-out luxury going with spacious rooms, including a private pool. In both locations, we will enjoy indoor comforts while immersed in natural splendor.

Dining

What we eat matters! Exciting, high quality and local as possible ingredients will be used to create a nourishing and delicious Balinese dining experience at every meal. Your tastebuds will definitely stay happy! Please notify us of any food allergies at registration and we will strive to accommodate you.

Yoga

Our two yoga classes will bookend our days. One will be fiery and sweaty and the other calming and cooling. I believe that diversity is more than just the spice of life and is essential to uncovering our best selves. Come ready to explore, adventure and try new and wonderful things! Yoga class styles will include: Vinyasa, Hatha, Wellround Myofascial Release, Yin, Yoga Nidra, Thai Yoga and more. All classes will be adapted for all bodies and all experience levels. Fascial health for physical, mental and spiritual balance will be the underlying theme of our classes. Fascial lines will provide our map and asana, self-massage (via myofascial release with Wellround balls), visualization, poetry, yoga philosophy, astrology, music and pranayama will get us there. Come breathe, massage, strengthen, stretch, experience and learn how your fascia effects your sacred self in movement, mind, emotion, energy, pain and practice.

We will provide options, you recharge and recenter. Our adventures and leisure-time are invitations to play, restore, refresh, ignite, connect, wander and wonder.

Your you-ness is on purpose, holy, sacred and interwoven with all life everywhere. The daily-grind has a way of making us forget that. In Bali, you will be gifted the opportunity to remember your wholeness, sovereignty, oneness, and joy as you re-connect with and honor your body, nature, your senses, your heart and those around you – all in our own unique way. Itinerary
